The yellow/orange glow of the crystals embedded within the steel casing of the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver pulsed weakly, useless, helpless, stripped of its purpose and ripped away from its owner. It dangled from the duel-leash's handle like an oversized novelty charm of a key chain. The duel-leash was held firmly by a woman with raven black hair that reached down past her thickened waist and almost to the back of her knees.
