Little Dora is a friendly, sociable girl 🐔

She lights up our sanctuary ✨

All chickens would live, & love, as she does, given the chance 🤗

That's the world we long for – where all are safe, where none needlessly suffer 🙏

Sheep in animal ag never reach old age, of crs 😢

Our guys are with us for life 🥰

They're safe 🤗 They're warm 💛 They have full tummies 🥣 They have friends by their side 💖

We wish it could be so for ALL beings 🙏

George is a factory farming survivor & was found as a piglet wandering in the road, possibly having fallen from a slaughterhouse truck 💔

It's our honour to have given this special, smiley lad a safe home, far, far away from horror & harshness 🐖🤗

DAY 18 #HoneySheep
Honey arrived at FARS a v poorly lamb – severely disabled & in need of round-the-clock care 😢

Her legs were in splints for months 💔

But she had an incredible will to live, & courage & determination in abundance 🥹

She's now a happy, healthy girl 🐑🥰

DAY 17 #LunaSheep
Just LOOK at that sweet face?! 🥰🐑

Luna is one of our older residents & feels her age at times 🤗

But she still loves her life, her sheep friends, & (especially!) her food 🥣 & we do all we can to keep her happy & comfortable 💛

This sweet boy had a terrifying start in life 😢

He was left for dead in a snowy field, found by chance by kind humans, & brought to us 🤗

He lives because of them 🙏

We can't imagine FARS without this very special lad ❤️🐏

Shamos is much more reserved than twin brother (& #PocketRocket!) #AmosSheep, but just as precious of crs 🥰

Left to die on winter ground, dreadfully injured, sweet Georgie suffered terrible neglect in her early life 💔

But slowly she learned to trust again & look at her now! 🥰

She fills our hearts with joy & respect 💕

DAY 11 #PeggySheep

Peggy came to us a v poorly lamb, blind in one eye & unable to walk 😢

Then Carole worked her magic & this is Peggy now – a healthy, happy, confident, loving sheep 🙏🐑

Her sweet face & gentle spirit are blessings in our lives 🤗

All our guys are unique individuals, with their own personalities, quirks & preferences 🤗

Our darling Winnie for eg is a TOTAL #PorridgeMonster & often waiting impatiently by the gate when she senses that her favourite #snackie is on its way 🐑🥣🤪

DAY 9 #HerculesSheep
This darling lad is an Ouessant ram, the world’s smallest breed of sheep 🥰

Initially a reticent, sometimes feisty boy, he soon learned to trust & is now one of our friendliest sheep, often first in the queue for pats & head scritches 🤗

Wilma was rejected by her biological mum & rescued by a kind family 🙏

She came to us in 2016 as a tiny piglet 🤗

If you've met our feisty, confident girl, you'll know that she's TOTALLY her own pig, which is exactly as it should be of crs 👑🐷👏

DAY 7 #JohnnySheep
Johnny was brought to FARS by a farmer after breaking his leg 😔

His leg couldn't be saved but, nursed back to health by Carole, he's now a happy, healthy, confident lad, with a warm glow in his heart from knowing he's safe forever from harsh hands ❤️🐑

Sweet Joey was destined to live a short life, then suffer a terrible slaughterhouse death 😢

But kind humans clubbed together to buy him from the farmer who "owned" him & brought him to us 🥹

He'll never again know fear or betrayal, only love & respect 🙏

This precious girl was brought to our gate a few wks ago with bestie #ChiliChicken 🤗

Her floof is off the scale 🐦‍⬛😲!

She has the sweetest nature & is already treasured by everyone here 🥰

How lucky are we to spend our days with this little one?! 💗

Today we celebrate gentle, sweet-natured Penny 🐷🥰

She ADORES her fruit & veg #snackies, head scritches & kind words 🍏🍌🥕🤗

She's a peace-loving, contented girl ☮️💗

She's an example to us all of how to live & who to be 💖

DAY 1 Princess #DonutLamb
Donut was born with a terrible deformity that eventually led to the amputation of her leg 💔

But, ironically, her disability saved her 🙏

All farmed animals are, sooner or later, sent for slaughter 😢

Our darling #DonutSheep is safe forever 🐑🤗
