One bright spot for Firebirds. Playing on a badly beaten team, a lot of credit goes to Elsa Sif Sandholt, in just her 2nd game, coming on under all sorts of pressure and she stood up to it, shooting 24/26 at 92%, including 6/7 from 2 point range.

Thunderbirds cruise to their biggest ever win in SSN and they had the most gains in SSN history (28!). No questioning who the POTM is. Shamera Sterling-Humphrey finished with 13 gains before being rested. Latanya Wilson had 7 as well.

T'birds finished strongly to win comfortably in the end. They outscored Firebirds 12-4 after the time out. Latanya Wilson was outstanding and gets the nod as POTM. Lauren Frew and Tayla Williams were also great for the winners.

Much like the 2nd Q, Firebirds had a very poor start to the 3rd Q, and had to rely on a late fightback to stay in the hunt. Latanya Wilson is dominating with 7 gains including 6 intercepts & Isabelle Shearer has 6 gains for Firebirds.

What a cracking first Q. Firebirds were on top for most of it, but Lauren Frew with 3 super shots brought the visitors level, before Emily Moore with her 2nd 2 pointer regained the lead for Firebirds on the buzzer.
