In De Tijd stond een boeiend verhaal over Herman Van Goethem en Philippe Janssens. De historicus en projectontwikkelaar kruisten elkaar op veilingen op zoek naar Belgische historische foto’s. Hun collectie primitieve fotografie uit de periode 1839–1865 is groter dan die van het Antwerpse stadsarchief, het FOMU en het Musée de la Photographie samen. Eind jaren negentig maakten ze afspraken: Janssens kocht, Van Goethem beheerde. Vanuit engagement willen ze de verzameling toegankelijk maken. Tot 1 maart loopt er een tentoonstelling in het FOMU. In het weekend lukt het niet meer, maar ik probeer tijdens de week eens te gaan kijken.
