Caitlin Johnstone:
"AOC got so mad she ran to the liberal app to whine about how the left won't even let her support genocide just a tiny bit."

Blakely:
"It gets worse, if you can believe it."

AOC original post:
"My record on Palestine speaks for itself. I'm proud of it. One of the strongest in congress. I throw down for pro-Palestine candidates. Largely unrecognized work. That's fine. Disagreements are fine, too. But if you want to toss all that for 1 half passed MTG stunt be my guest. I know where I stand."

Being stuffed w/ #Hasbara since birth, my ear knows the passive-aggressive, whataboutist, moralizing, chiding tone.
Anything but the issues.

Doron Kadosh: These are pictures Hamas tried to suppress: Gaza s realizing there is a place that is really giving out food for free, in the harshest times Gaza has perhaps ever known.

Whilst there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, distribution centers are opened that the population comes to and receives the food from separately from Hamas and without it controlling the food & distribution.

This, according to Israeli higher-ups, is the key to wrenching civilian control in Gaza from Hamas' hands. And it is a dramatic event.
*TWEETING JOURNALISTS*

(Note how "there is" a "crisis" in Gaza.
Clean, passive language, enabling a sanitized Hasbarist picture; in which Israel is the Western savior solving the "harshest times Gaza has perhaps ever known", and Hamas is the dastardly evil - which works for those who require no further context.)

AMICHAI SHTEIN: an Israeli source*:

The opening of the humanitarian distribution centers - the beginning of the end of Hamas' rule.

This happens in tandem with the vanquishing of Hamas' military capabilities with intense and wide-ranging combat including Conquest, cleansing of areas, and occupation of them**.

In spite of Hamas' attempts to prevent the population from coming to the centers, it is failing.

The more it tries to block the population, it will encounter more and more mass opposition.

Image description: a thumbnail for an IDF video of a distribution center.

DORON KADOSH: IDF official statement:
Two distribution centers began operation today - at Tel Sultan and Muraj highway in Rafah, is part of the gradual roll out of the distribution centers.
"The IDF will continue to permit humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, while taking all due necessary measures to ensure none of that aid gets to Hamas' hands."

Context:
* "an Israeli source", from certain reporters, usually means "from Netanyahu's court" and "today's talking points". Now, whether that means him, Smotrich, Qatar, or some combination thereof - that depends who you ask here & on which day.
**In one paragraph both erasing the ongoing genocide AND airhorning to those who support it.
(Note the rigid framing of the Aid as a tactical move against Hamas.
Humanitarian aid = "The beginning of the end."
"The IDF will continue to permit."
It's no wonder that more Israelis are breaking media containment & refusing the draft.)

Image description:
A line of about a dozen men stand on a dirt path amidst nondescript rubble. To their left, one man stands with his back to us, holding a US flag up with both arms.

AMIT SEGAL*: One of them even waves a US flag. Hundreds overran a Hamas roadblock which attempted to prevent food distribution.
*TWEETING JOURNALISTS*

Context:
* Amit Segal is known as "Netanyahu's Shofar" within mainstream Israeli prime time (or at least the OG, Netanyahu has several now) - so we know we're in for some grade-a Hasbara here.
Translated to Israeli context:
"The Gazans are so grateful to Trump our Savior, you see, that one of those extra-plucky Gazans brought a whole-ass American flag to show his appreciation. He even got it past those meanies Hamas, who DON'T WANT Gazans to get food. See? They're both so starved they *trampled Hamas* - who's fault this all really is - to get food, AND they're well off enough to bring FLAIR & shit."
....
This one's short, so I'll add here that across Israeli media rn, journalists are tweeting pictures & videos of lines 1,000's of people deep in the Gazan sun, often accompanied with proud texts either on "solving the crisis", "providing aid" or "take that, Hamas".
No one can truly look.

Yair Golan gave the Israeli Overton Window a good kick - and he's being tested for that. Meanwhile, everyone else w/a platform (Ha'aretz aside) still either denies, equivocates & dehumanizes, or cheers.
The longer the delayed, the ruder the awakening - and there's not long now either way.

Jeremy Scahill tweets:
As the Israeli "aid" scheme, staffed by US mercenaries, begins in Gaza, there is already a report of a Palestinian being kidnapped when he went to get one of the small boxes of food. His family said he went to Muraj Crossing aid distribution center.
"To our shock, he called us under threat from Israeli intelligence officers, demanding information about one of our relatives with whom we've had no contact since the beginning of the war.
"When we were unable to provide the information the army requested, communication was cut off, and we were later informed that he was transferred to a detention center. He is now considered missing."

Context:
This is how the IDF has always operated: create/usurp a place where Palestinians need to go, then use it as a point to screen & "detain" whom you please. Can confirm.
"Detention center" should by now be as sanitized a term as "concentration camp".

Tldr: IDF/US "aid" centers open in #Gaza, are immediately used for crimes against humanity, kidnapping.
Also: no, allowing "the least aid we absolutely must" (Smotrich) into a disastrous famine YOU created doesn't make you the hero.
