I moved to #Cyprus from #Amman shortly after this happened and even considered creating a website to warn against accidents (after Texas 2013 West Fertilizer Company). I felt bad when Beirut happen that I hadn't created the website.

My name is Stephen Gutknecht, “RoundSparrow” here. On December 16, 2009 I predicted the Arab Spring while living in Austin, Texas. I participated all year on Facebook in 2010 when nobody seemed to recognize what was happening. On December 3, 2010 I was in North Africa, two weeks before the Arab Spring became world-famous when Mohamed Bouazizi set himself on fire for feeling like he could not make a decent living. I spent 3 months in Algeria studying the Arab Spring social media, then in March 2011 moved to Amman, Jordan to study the outbreak of the Syria war for 2 years. I authored, sold, and ran social media BBS sites / apps in 1984 while starting high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In the 1990’s, I worked for Microsoft co-found Paul Allen (NFL Seahawks Owner, NBA Trailblazers owner) private staff.
