こんな小さなヘリコプターのキットなのにエッチングやレジンパーツがあってプラパーツも伸ばしランナー並みに細いのが有ったりなかなか大変だったけど仕上がって良かったねえ。キャノピー磨いて透明度を上げたのは大正解、楽しかった！！

ファレホのメタルカラー・アルミで内装を塗っている。高級塗料だけあって良い金属感が出るわね気に入ったわ。乾燥時間は結構長め。一眼レフの電源が入らない、もうだめかも知れない……

塗ってます。色はよくわからないので適当にそれっぽく調色。内装はアルミだとかニュートラルグレイだとかなんだけど筆で行くかエアブラシで行くか悩み中。

キャノピーのマスキングを進めています。アウトラインはそこまで複雑じゃないけど曲面がちょっと厄介ですかね。曲線で細切りしたテープを駆使していきますよ。

強度的に不安だったスキッド、なんとかなってますね。自重程度なら大丈夫そうですが完成までは浮かせておこうと思います。あとは細かい所の手入れとキャノピーのマスクをし直しして塗装です。

メインローターも真鍮線で繋いで回転、脱着可能に。だいぶヘリコプターになりました。さてあとはこのキット最大の難所？スキッドの取り付けをどう攻略するか……一瞬の撮影だけ耐えてくれればいいんだけどその強度すら出せるだろうか。

尾翼とレジン製のエンジンが付きました、接続は真鍮線。テールローターが無いですがこの排気を舵に当てて反トルクを打ち消すみたいですね。面白いヘリコプターだ。

カット済みマスクが付属してるけど紙製じゃなくて樹脂フィルムだから特に曲面のエッジが浮く。頼りのマスキング販売さんでは扱ってないし……やるか自前マスク。マイナーヘリキットの宿命なのか、嫌いではない。

前回座席周りのPEを貼り付けたのだけれどキャノピーのクリアランスが全然取れず全部剥がして貼り直した。基準になる印も支持も無く組図も曖昧だから大変である。何とか収めたけど、見えなくなる……。

コックピット内はシート以外殆どPEらしい、この後計器盤周りもPEで。おーい、プラモデル～？ちなみに横に伸びてる棒、クロスチューブそのものでスキッドをイモ付けするっぽいです。真鍮に変えるべきだろうか……。

コックピット回り、クリアパーツの割れに怯えながらごりごり調整、なかなか大変だぞお？テールブームはキット状態で内側に軽め穴の縁が薄く見える工夫がしてあるけど、肝心の穴が開いてないので実機に近めの大きさで開けておく。楽しい！！

雪風の手すりPEで神経をすり減らし辛抱たまらず手を付けてしまいましたウルトラライトヘリコプター。初手からパーツ形状が違ったり、番号が違ったりプラが脆かったりしてますが私は元気です。

Black and white photograph of a 1:100 scale model of a Fairey Gannet. The photo has a really short depth of field, so the contrarotating propellers (actually an Armstrong Siddeley Double Mamba, so two engines with one gearbox) are drifting out of focus, as is the observer's cockpit. The tail assembly is very blurred indeed. The aircraft is painted up as XA454 in COD.4 configuration, so the RN aircraft code number 264 is visible on the nose.

Finally developed the photo I took that day, anyway.
I have taken better photos - this one is filed under 'It is all part of the learning process'...
