While the visuals are undeniably striking—glowing cats in gold shades do leave an impression—the story collapses under its own mythos, offering little for viewers not already steeped in obscure lore and ironic reverence. The human characters are thin, the dialogue is nonexistent or baffling, and by the third act, it’s clear the film is more interested in posing than saying anything.
