This photo shows the interior of St Anne's Church in Limehouse. Designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor it was consecrated in 1730. It has been gutted by fire, restored and rebuilt and is still a notable building in east London.

We visited St Anne's Church, Limehouse today. Designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor. Consecrated in 1730 it has been gutted by fire, restored and rebuilt. Its interior is very calming and the drifts of snowdrops in the churchyard reminded me that spring is on its way.
