I get done exploring a weird castle run by a robot, and go to leave with a Major Item, but the defense system says it'll Kill Me if I don't immediately give it equivalent value.

How do I solve this imminent threat?

part a study of bad game design (can't look away from this bizarre train wreck)

to be fair, it's apparently made by one person, so I'll cut them some slack
