I happened to be standing close by as #TommyRobinson left his #FascistChristmas service under police guard. When I heckled him, the response of his supporters was one of the most bizarre aspects of a bizarre day.

Organisers of #TommyRobinson's #FascistChristmas event today claim it was just a #Christmas carol service. Like any other perfectly normal carol service, it involved people dressed in Union Flags, a rendition of Rule Britannia and a man being arrested for assaulting a police officer.

To my surprise, I came within about 5 yards of #TommyRobinson today as police led him passed me on his way out of his "carol service". I called out, "This is blasphemy, Robinson!". One of his goons shouted at me but the others confined themselves to glaring.
