Mounted on the wall in an alcove in a busy hallway, a depiction of an Ocean Reef has been created. Various forms of reef life have been painted, drawn, or made out of mixed media and individually mounted on the wall: Manta Ray, Great White Shark, Dolphin, Sea Turtle, Angel Fish, Parrot fish, Clown Fish, Puffer Fish, Wrasse, Giant Clam, various Corals, Anemones, Seaweeds, Nudibranch, Starfish, Crabs, Octopus, Moray Eel, Peacock Mantis, and severeal species of small reef fish in schools.

An abstract monoprint. Roughly in the centre is a glowing white area surrounded with yellow, similar to a glowing sun, this is surrounded by gradually changing shades of yellow, to orange, to magenta, to reds to purple around the outer edges. Over the whole image are darker areas of colour intensity in streaks and blobs that were caused by blotting the plate with a sheet of newsprint to soak up excess water. The result resembles a tree trunk and possibly a crowd of people at the bottom, which is why I called it Solstice, as it reminded me of that.

Scene is of looking down at the bank of a stream. Running through the scene from top to bottom is a tree branch with lots of bark missing (which looks slightly chewed). The branch is balancing on the top of a smooth rounded rock that is buried in the sand/gravel. To the left you can see the reflection of the blue sky and white clouds in the water, on the right are reflections from the trees on the bank of the stream. To the top right is another rock that is rougher and angular. In the lower centre left is a large yellow maple leaf that is partially submerged, to the right of the round rock are a couple of smaller leave, one yellow and rounded with a point and a small orange/yellow maple leaf. In the top left corner is a small brown/orange maple leaf that is completely submerged.
