Over 3 decades of service to an agency that has shown it doesn’t give a damn about us, or our lives. We have been harassed, doxxed, mistreated, all because we did what we are supposed to: protect & save lives.

🧵1/6 Meet this week’s #FedWorkerFriday, Bree! Even at 5 years old, Bree knew she wanted to help people. She would say, “I want to be a teacher or vet because I love kids and animals.” That heart for service led her to become a nurse and later join the Peace Corps.
1/12 #FedWorkerFriday: Enjoy Anita’s, PhD, MBA, CHES journey. Her commitment to public service began in 2001 as a student intern. She progressed through various roles, culminating in her CDC job in 2016. She is months from 10 yr anniversary, it underscores her dedication to CDC’s mission.

🧵 1/7 This week’s #FedWorkerFriday worked with the CDC for almost 20 years in many areas across the agency, such as chronic diseases, infectious diseases, and emergency response. They worked in the private sector before coming to CDC.

1/7 #FedWorkerFriday brings: Brandon knew he wanted to work for CDC when he was 10 yrs old. The movie “Outbreak” inspired him at an early age to find his passion. As he grew, he focused his attention on the LGBTQ+ community, of which he is a part, studying HIV transmission during college in GA.
Thank you for amplifying this. Fired But Fighting CDC employees and allies are necessary to keep our children and families safe and healthy.
