1904/08/27:
Currently, eight teams would make the playoffs with losing records.

Eight teams.

A full quarter of the postseason field.

Luis García #8 (1888-97):
Originally hired by the #ChupacabrasCAN 🐐 and later traded to the #FielesLAR 💺, "La Cacerola" was a decent enough defensive catcher, but he may be best remembered as the first Liga Nacional Puertorriqueña player to gain a following due mostly to his callipygian physique.

1. Astros pitcher who so threatened Rob Manfred's masculinity that the coward took away his delivery.
2. Rochester Red Wings legend.
3. #FielesLAR 💺 catcher (1888-97), so thicc he was nicknamed "La Cacerola."
4. #VejigantesLOI 👹 catcher (1872-88) with 2,097 career hits.
5. Angels pitcher, I guess?

07/06/1903:

#SanisalvosMOR ⚕️ get:
2B Teodoro Luna ( 21 / 23 OVR / 41 POT )
RHP Jesús Hernández ( 22 / 48 / 75 )
RHP Felipe Rivera ( 19 / 20 / 47 )

#FielesLAR 🗣️ get:
3B Mike Sharp ( 39 / 63 )

Weird trade—if only because Sharp is going for the HR title and both teams are in knockdown playoff hunts.
