On 5 and 6 February 2026, the days of action against Fruit Logistica will take place. “We grow together! We grow from below!” We are people who work in agriculture, people who are active in trade unions and campaign for people and nature, who work in supermarkets and their logistics centres, who deliver food, and we are consumers like you, who depend on food every day to satisfy our hunger. Why are we protesting against Fruit Logistica? Our food system is based on profit maximisation which has consequences that we no longer support, which is why we are protesting. For this reason, it is important for us to challenge the multiple forms of harm in the food system, which become clear at this crystallisation moment at the trade fair: 1. The deliberate maintenance of working conditions and various forms of oppression along global supply chains based on exploitation and colonisation. 2. The disregard for environmental and climate justice and the violation of the right to health, and 3. The deliberate repression and suppression of protests, organisations and campaigns that stand up for a just society.
