Against an overcast, grey-white sky we're looking up at a sculpture on a plinth atop a tall, stone column. The stone is all dark. looking as if it's been exposed to the elements for a long time and that the prevailing conditions in this area are cold and damp. The sculpture is of a man in medieval dress with a conical helmet. His left arm is held in front of him and he clutches an orb with a short, thick cross in its top.

A surprising aspect of walking through the city centre of Trondheim recently was in spotting the monument in its centre which we gathered was honouring the wielding of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and defeating the Rabbit of Caerbannog.
