Complaints about JFK have been ongoing for at least a decade. And so what's crazy about JFK is they *have* done safety redesigns. But no one can tell because the redesigns were so cowardly and ineffective and focused on preserving wide lanes, car speed, and volume instead of safety. #FixJFKBlvd

This is a pretty good thread. The local implications are JFK would be difficult to give bus priority on without:

1. Universal pedestrian islands (probably need to ban left turns to create space)
2. Conversion to one-way pairs, say Bergen and JFK and narrowing the crossing distances
