It’s done. My entry to Rnd 2 of NYC Midnight’s #FlashFictionChallenge2024 is in (as of a few hrs ago); a Comedy located on a Bike Path, featuring a Bird’s Nest. Comedy is my 2nd weakest genre (Historical Fiction is the 1st). Best of luck to my fellow competitors!

I cut 4 characters, a whole lot of setting and backstory, and at least 10 lines of dialogue, but my fantasy soup kitchen for #NYCMidnight #FlashFictionChallenge2024 got submitted on time and one word under the limit. 🤪

Working on my fantasy for #NYCMidnight #FlashFictionChallenge2024 and I have 764 words of notes for a 1000 word story. 😅 I *think* that is a good sign? The stories I overwrite and then edit way down usually end up better than the ones that are naturally slender.
