after the temple had its basic shading done, i added in more texture and details, keeping it simple since its in the back, zoomed in so its easier to see

Once the first island was fully shaded, i moved on to shading the bridges, although that was shown earlier, then it was starting with the the starting values for the foreground island

Next after the inital values, i started to refine shapes a lot more, using the lasso tool especially to help have some harsher lines for the edges, but smoothing them out slightly to not make them jarring

Focused first on the main island in the middle since it would be the focal point, starting with placing down some base values to get an idea of the direction of the light, using a texture brush for the trees and grass

In December I took part in a monthly contest for The Rookies

The theme was "Floating Civilisations"
I wanted to try to get better at drawing environments since tend to only draw ocs
I started with a rough blockout in blender before having a quick sketch
