Text: Even ignoring the absurd notion that Toronto suddenly planned some tall buildings in the few weeks since Ford sprang his expansion ideas on the city — there are years of planning at work here — the Port Lands are being redeveloped in partnership with Waterfront Toronto, an entity created by all three levels of government in 2001. In other words, Ford’s own provincial government has been a part of it, even appointing board members to Waterfront Toronto.
