Continuing on the theme of #ForensicLinguistic historical casework... in 17thC French theologian David Blondel identified the Decretals of Pseudo-Isidore to be fakes. This body of Papal texts contained phrases & legal terminology not consistent with the periods in which they were written.

Tomorrow, I begin teaching the #ForensicLinguistic Short Course (FLsc) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf with my colleague Krzysztof Kredens. The course is focused on Authorship Analysis and Deception (faked contexts).
