Going forward, I think I’m probably gonna do this once a year rather than twice. Catching up basically made working on Pokenronpa a secondary priority, and I want to keep it top of mind. And maybe I just do one shoutout rather than two

It's a free Pokémon x Danganronpa fangame where 16 shiny Pokémon are forced to murder each other to escape their kidnapping

Wilde Life by @lepas.bsky.social has a cast of characters that all want to do more good than they can. Everyone has a weakness and thats what makes it so compelling
The writing in this comic is so strong. The dialogue never feels forced, the cast communicates like adults, it's great!

Its funny how everyone in I Think I Like You by @herutastic.bsky.social and @yeentrash.bsky.social is both endlessly loyal to their friends and never to themselves because they're too confused
Also this comic is absurdly funny. Every gag is just a subversion of expectations I love it

Guys Bittersweet Candy Bowl by @taeshi.bcb.cat and @suitcase.bsky.social is the most dramatic readthrough of my life and I can't stop crying
Ive never been so invested in teen drama like this but they just keep finding ways to all be the a**hole at every moment and I just want SMILES

It's be one thing if Tamberlane by @caytlin.tamberlanecomic.com and @ari.arinoblewrites.com was a small cast at this high quality, but it's an ensemble of a whole NEIGHBORHOOD
Writing 50+ characters, giving them all backstories, and then devising a story around them is SO impressive!

@tenacity-comic.bsky.social by Paige Critchlow always keeps me guessing at its mysteries. Who is this helpful group that seems so effortlessly powerful? Are they REALLY trustworthy?
Emotions run high every revisit and you just feel so bad for the cast. I just want the cast to be OK 😭

One reason I keep saying @gabebold.bsky.social needs to become a TV writer is because of the intentionality of @friendsyasw.bsky.social
Every panel has a purpose, every story is thought out WELL in advance, callbacks are frequent, and it just becomes fun to participate in this world.

PMD: Gleaming Hearts by Fidchell recently completed and it was such an wonderful experience
This comic surprised me with how emotional and heavy it got. There were REAL intimidating villains, and it always felt incredible to see the protagonists succeed
Plus Riolu makes me happy :)

I don't believe Rain Burn by Virmir isn't at 500 pages yet. It's such an action-packed comic that it feels like it should be nearing 1000
This comic is WILD. The main trio constantly run from place to place getting into trouble, making a valiant escape, rinse and repeat. Funny AF too

Shadowed Fates by @starsent.bsky.social might be wrapping up, but what a treat to have had it.
When I first read it, I proudly proclaimed this comic as a jack-of-all-trades. It excels visually, comedically, story-wise, and everything in between. An S-tier comic if I've ever read one!

This is a 1000 page EPIC that has the single most fucked-up premise I've ever seen, character arguments that break your heart, and a frustrating sense of hopelessness that never really goes away

How to Be a Werewolf by @shawnlenore.bsky.social is part slice of life, part drama, part fantasy, part romance, and part werewolf... politics. AND IT SLAPS
The writing of this comic is so inviting. Sprinkle some comedy with self-evaluation and I feel like I get everyone's motivations

@pmdelysium.bsky.social by @haychel.bsky.social and Sly is by far one of the darkest, most gritty and adult comics made from a silly pocket monster catching game made for kids.
This might be one of the most unique uses of the Pokémon world in all of webcomics. And it looks GORGEOUS!

Its always hard to imagine just how much effort goes into a single page/panel of a webcomic. Just look at @cashmeresky.com by Jared Hudson
I can gaze at these pages for HOURS and just be amazed at the flow of colors, the details and shadows, it's unbelievable and I have to tip my hat

Have any of you heard of or read Adventurer's Guild by Guildmaster Phill? The best way I can describe it is if a Final Fantasy SNES era game was made into a comic about a questing guild.

The story twists and turns, the art style is SO unique, and the cast... WOW

It's incredible to see Sabrina Online by @ericwschwartz.bsky.social going strong even to this day. It's come a long way since 1996 (this comic is 3 years older than me holy)
I'd argue the writing might be stronger than ever. Feels very focused on adult conversations and relationships

Every scene fluctuates between goofiness and wackiness with the occasional serious beat, to fully somber and character driven ones with expressions that make you burst into laughter

Random Encounter has a spectacular cast and really emotional storytelling. The way so many unique characters bond over the wacky adventures (which CAN involve dying) is gripping. Plus it squeezes in plenty of jokes :P

Restructuring how society works entirely into a LITERAL movie set is SO creative, and thinking about how the characters would talk in said setting CAN'T be easy. It's SO impressive and deserves so much love

It starts with fun dreams where you get to meet a magical fox best friend who takes you an a journey.
Then it becomes a nightmare where you're captured and forced to become a tool for alien domination
And it's all so good!

The way Indy cares so much for Pen, where he notably has the patience and recognition when Pen's a bit awkward or out of place, even taking care of him when needed. It's relationship goals! This comic just has heart!

I like how this comic makes sure to keep everyone in the spotlight even if for a few moments. Helps to support a well-balanced cast
