🔥 21 bags of litter removed — and hope is rising!
Today, incredible #ForestrCleans volunteers braved the heat and cleaned stretches of the 580 freeway, Stanton, Castro Valley Blvd, Foothill, and Norbridge. We even found 3 more bags that a kind neighbor had already collected before we arrived — teamwork in action!
This cleanup felt different. Since 2018, we've faced waves of trash and moments of doubt. But lately, we’ve noticed a shift. Less litter. Fewer messes. Signs that our efforts — along with those of so many other groups and individuals — are making a real difference.
Maybe it’s the growing environmental awareness. Maybe folks are rethinking littering habits. Maybe our consistent cleaning is breaking the cycle. Likely, it’s all of the above.
What matters is this: our community is cleaner. And we’re not stopping.
We’ll be back out in two weeks — and we’ll keep sharing the progress.
