A sketch page of my original character, a stressed basketball coach from the 1970’s called Leslie. Upper left sketch: he is holding his head in mental agony. Upper right: one of the player’s agents, Johanna, suggests to to a bewildered Leslie: “Maybe your team would be better if they had…fun?” subsequently, a dumbfounded expression on Leslie captioned “hasn’t had fun in 30 years” with arrows pointing to him. Bottom sequence: Leslie walks with frustration, mumbling to himself, “divored, fired, what’s next…” with the next drawing has him throwing his hands up to perhaps God or whoever’s listening, saying “DON’T” midcentury blocks of color embellish the page.
