Came across notes my mom made when we went above the Arctic Circle in Norway.
In addition to making note of stave churches in Lillehammer, glaciers, fjords, the Midnight Sun, goat cheese stops, & reindeer in Trondheim, her Day 15 description was just, “Begonias.”😄🌺

Star Wars comic #41, “Continuing the Official Comics Adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back” with the “Imperial Pursuit” of the Millennium Falcon. Fifty cents a copy, bought at the Stars & Stripes on base.
Oo! Also in the stack, was an old #StarWars comic book in pretty excellent condition.

Wedding Day commemorative brochure for the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
…and a commemorative booklet from the event itself. Interesting to see something like that, and know how magical the beginning of that marriage felt, and then knowing how the vicissitudes of life bent that.
But a heckuva thing to see at age 12.

Time Magazines, one from 1991 with Jodie Foster on the cover with the title “A Director is Born” (and a Special report on Bush Sr’s Recession) and another from the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana in 1981.
This was a productive file full of stuff (in the Carlin sense of “stuff”).
Also had old copies of Time Magazine dated 10 years apart from each other recoding history and culture of the day…
