A four-lined plant bug rests at the edge of a leaf. It has alternating stripes of light green and dark black, with the center stripe being green and the two black stripes on either side of it much thicker than the others. At the end of the green stripes on the wing are light green triangles with black dots in the center, one on each side. Under the wings at the tail of the abdomen you can see the body is black. The alternating stripes are also seen on the thorax. Its head is a light orange with two large dark eyes on the sides. The two antennae are black and are almost as long as the bug's entire body.
