Ah! It's friday, #FragmentFriday, a game I started and never completed!
I wanted to make a platform fighter in pico-8, and that's where I wound up with this! I ran out of sprite space before I had anything really playable, but it was really fun to put together a moveset and effects for it!

A page from a 13th century music manuscript (the "Wilton processional")whose pages were broken up ca. 1948 by Otto Ege; this page is now in New Zealand: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dplmedmss/8647514892/. An inventory of the leaves is here: https://cantusdatabase.org/source/620437. The page has nine sets of red staff lines, and the same Latin text beginning "Nunc sancte nobis..." is written three times. There appear to be ghostly notes on some of the staves, but no legible musical notation.

"Felices sancte apostole" in F-Pn Latin 12044, an early 12th century antiphoner from St Maur-des-Fossés. The notes on Felices are C-DE-E, where the fragment has D-CD-D.
also "Felices sancte", from F-Pn NAL 1535, an early 13th century antiphoner from Sens. The melody starts C-DE-E and is, but for a few notes, the same as that from St Maur des Fossés.
4. so far I've only found two other manuscripts with this "Felices sancte" antiphon, but their melodies are different from this one! very similar in shape though, as if it got transmuted through transposition in different traditions.

#FragmentFriday - Another game I abandoned! This one was heavily inspired by bitGenerations: dotstream!
This one's built in pico-8 and unlike dotstream there are no lanes, this made it kind of difficult to control, so I learned why they wound up doing that. I added boosters and NPC opponents!

This is Pico Wars! A game heavily based on Advance Wars! I made it in Pico-8, but eventually ran out of tokens. It has hotseat multiplayer and zero tutorial!
