This photo shows the cover of my new copy of Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. One of Bernie Wrightsons wonderful illustrations is on the cover. We see an ink illustration of the larger than life monster holding Frankenstein by the shirt front in anger. Behind and around is the astonishingly detailed clutter of the scientists laboratory. So many weird adaptation choices. Utterly fascinating. Beauty and the beast callouts with Mia goth as the belle/elizabeth/mary Shelly standin was great.
I like that it wasnโt so much an adaptation of the novel as a dialogue with it. #frankenstien
