Greetings from Israeli prisons. We were intercepted aboard the boat Madleen 110 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza - that is, in the middle of international waters. This was an act of piracy. We are used to dealing with a rogue state. it is urgent that our European goverments impose concrete sanctions on Israel: an end to arms sales, a suspension of diplomatic relations, official recognition of the Palestinian state, and a full economic and cultural boycott of the country. The fact that Israel is now rushing to intercept boats farther and farther out in international waters shows just how deeply threatened they feel by the growing outcry against the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The mobilization to fight this genocide is growing stronger- in France and around the world - taking on diverse and complementary forms. The flotilla has been strengthened by the decision of our comrades, the dockworkers of Fos-sur-Mer and Genoa, to refuse to load ships with military equipment bound for Israel. The people's mobilization to denounce the genocide and to resist the blockade of Gaza marks the beginning of Humanity's victory. There will be no future for colonization.
