On the left side of the image is a lily blossom that has a long stalk with stems growing from the stalk. Each stem has a 6-pointed star blossom that is white with slightly pointed petals and yellow stamen. The plant in the image is still in the process of blooming. The lower flowers are fully open, but at the tip of the primary stalk are quite a few buds waiting to open. The background is dark behind the flower with the sun backlighting the open blossoms, creating a strong contrast. The right side of the image is slightly illuminated grass and the lily's leaves. These plants are toxic to humans and animals. They are found all around the hills in San Luis Obispo, California.
