The #GR24Amaldi16 art gallery is now online! Some really amazing pieces on display - I especially like the papier mâché and clay one by Riccardo Buscicchio
(And of course all of @theastrophoenix.bsky.social's art but does that need to be said?)

I had a great time at the #GR24Amaldi16 meeting in Glasgow. Thanks to @cplberry.bsky.social and all the organisers for a fantastic meeting. The cèilidh at the conference dinner was especially fun.
This talk was absolutely stunning—a masterclass in combining personal stories, technical information and beautiful visuals. Educational, inspiring and a testament to the achievements of @science.esa.int.
I'm so proud we could host this for #GR24Amaldi16
Delighted that we can show this new documentary as part of our #GR24Amaldi16 art exhibition!
(If you want a break, head to the Committee Meeting Room Etive, next to the Speaker Preview Room, to sit down and enjoy)

People at #GR24Amaldi16, I have a limited number of stickers with me today. If you'd like one come find me at the coffee break!
Today (Thu, 17 Jul, 1:30pm) at #GR24Amaldi16: István Rácz presents his work on Hyperboloidal initial data without logarithmic singularities. #GenRelativGravit 57, 96 (2025). doi.org/10.1007/s107... in Session 3 - A1.
What a wonderful evening, meeting old colleagues and new at the #GR24Amaldi16, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first gravitational wave detection - how time flies and now we are constructing @science.esa.int #LISA for the coming decade to probe new scales of spacetime disturbances!

Tonight @cmundell.bsky.social is delivering a public lecture here in Glasgow for the #GR24Amaldi16 conference, where we're learning about the ambitions of @esa.int to further gravitational wave science with the future LISA observatory.
A speaker presents slides on a stage.
Ways to 'see' black holes include cosmic indigestion (when a black hole is over fed!), imaging the shadow of a black hole, and (our favorite) ripples in space-time!! #GravitationalWaves

Did you know that getting a space craft out of the plane of the solar system is quite difficult - but Solar Orbiter is doing just that using gravity slingshot!

Honored to receive the GWIC-Braccini thesis prize for 2023 and thankful for the opportunity to share my past and more recent work on NSBH mergers earlier today at #GR24Amaldi16
Tickets are still available for 'From Earth to the Fabric of SpaceTime', a public lecture tonight from Prof Carole Mundell (@cmundell.bsky.social) of @esa.int!

One way to support early career scientists is holding workshops. GWECS hosted a workshop last week with support of the #GR24Amaldi16 local organising committee.
Golam Shaifullah, Christopher Berry (cplberry.bsky.social), Rachel Gray share their experience of hosting this very successful workshop!
With #GR24Amaldi16 underway in the city, Dr Andrew Spencer from @uofgphysastro.bsky.social spoke to Radio Scotland today about the gravitational wave-inspired Scottish country dance he and colleagues have developed with @scienceceilidh.bsky.social.
