Tychon has on a large sun hat and a surly expression with his arms crossed over his very sunburnt bare chest. he scowls at his partner, luka, who in turn smiles quite brightly at him. luka has one hand on tychon's shoulder and the other propped agaiinst his hip. tychon's skirt is a wrap style that goes to his mid calf on one side and just under the knee on the other where the fabric wraps upward, with a visible knot off the side of his hip. luka's is simple and flows down to about his ankles.luka wears a couple of gold beaded necklaces and a gold bracelet.

while they live in the mountains NOW, luka grew up in a very tropical environment. tychon...doesn't do heat. or full sun. he just burns and turns into one giant freckle.

Luka's *preferred* foods are fresh, veggie and fruit heavy things. he likes seafood. he likes raw fish, he likes fresh from the tree fruits and crisp veggies. very coastal tongue.

Tychon: meat & potatoes guy. hardy winter veggies, mushrooms, mutton or beef.

as long as you're in an area where nudity might be expected it's fine. otherwise you will probably get some odd looks or asked to leave lol. public swimming areas are often clothing optional.

the more he teaches and does research, the more tychon wants to be the head researcher for the archeological society he works with. the current head is sort of his idol and he's of retiring age, so if he wants it ...gotta get on that master's quick.

a ficitonal design for a "mermaid". the creature is only vaguely humanoid with a round head and short, bend appendages resembling arms and hands. the remainder of the body is fish like, with a long thresher-shark like tail where the fin is extra long and used like a whip. the head has a nasal flap similar to a blowhole high on the forehead. there is a floppy tattered dorsal fin that flows like hair, but is similar to a betta fish in appearance. when out of water, it flops over the head mimicking hair. the teeth are hidden when the mouth is closed, but the jaw can open quite wide and dislocate like a snake. the arms have three long, clawed "fingers" that are used to perch on rocky surfaces underwater .

the same concept art as before with an edit to show a wide, open mouth and a menagerie of razor sharp teeth. the skin on the mermaid's head is pulled back to wrinkle around the face.

tychon's grandma, usually referred to as "Rosa", "Dr. Whitfrost" or most commonly "Gran" was in an accident that left her in a goldilocks zone between life and death that left her extremely neurologically unstable. in a rare lucid moment, she asks tychon to help her die.

i think once he's cleaned up, bandaged up and safe at home he has his "shut down" moment and just. doesn't speak for a day or two.

tychon isn't big on casual touch until he's pretty comfortable with someone. but i think when their class is over, he and luka walk part of the way home on the same path and eventually he just kind of gently shoulder checks luka before they part ways like "see you tomorrow" #gvlore

Luka appears to be a little ladies man when he's young - but never expresses romantic interest, he just has girl friends. when he learns *boys* can also be pretty, THEN he's suddenly interested in romance in his teens.

4. their original setting is Golden Verse - as you might have guessed gold is a critical element in their world. It's the basis of life and gives people their magical ability. without gold, they die. (they also die if there's too much so. there's that.) #gvlore is my tag for rambling about it.

spending some more time thinking about the minutiae of what tychon really likes about luka.

so it's time for a #gvlore thread.

just doodlin a new general reference for them. their fluffy "crest" can start as high as the back of the head, but it's not unusual to see a grave dog with no fur at all until the shoulders. rarely, even the forelimbs will be sparsely coated.

a floorplan for an upper level of a open/loft style apartment. the upper floor consists only of a master bedroom and a master bath. the bedroom has room for a queen size bed, a desk, a large wardrobe and a bookshelf. the bedroom itself has no proper door and the stairway down leads into the main part of the apartment. the master bathroom attached to the bedroom has a tub, shower stall and dual sinks as well as a toilet, as you may expect.

the floorplan for a large loft apartment. there are several handwritten notes, but the overall floorplan shows a open floorplan kitchen, dining area and living area complete with furniture layout and various notes. the guestroom is attached to the living area and also contains a "library" shelf as well as a small sitting area. the kitchen area has a sunroom to one side for a small indoor garden. the living room has a partial bathroom, and within the bathroom is a door leading to the laundry room.

upstairs & downstairs, respectively.

how does a young 20-something afford this? easy! he doesn't. the university paid for it. caveat: he didn't get to choose the flat at all and has to furnish it himself.
