They regain composture, and answer without hesitation) Naptstablook: I could never hate any of them. They’re my family, I love them. And they love me, too. Mettaton: That they love you…? (Mettaton's feelings cross. He starts getting a bit angry and raising his voice, unbelieving his cousing should be so indulcing with him). Mettaton: I’m sorry Napstablook, but they did leave you behind. They hurt you! Because they only cared about themselves! They don’t deserve your forgiveness!!! Naptstablook: But there’s nothing to forgive... At first, I thought I was the problem, but I wasn’t thinking clearly because of how I felt at that moment… I *do* know why they did it now… (Napstablook turns to look at Frisk) Naptstablook: Oh… that’s right… Human (sorry I forgot your name again), you called me “Blooky” earlier…? (Frisk looks satisfied that Blooky noticed this) Frisk: I did! That’s how your cousin called you, right? Naptstablook: Yes… it’s my nickname in the family… (Frisk looks confident, expecting what Blooky will ask them next) Frisk: …And how do you think I know that nickname? Naptstablook: Yes… You were right at the window… (We get a flashback of Blooky staring at Frisk reading the diaries through the window) Frisk: O-oh… so why do you bring this up, then?
(Blooky gives a small, shy smile) Naptstablook: Well… because I did the same… a few days after my cousin left, I entered their home… Mettaton: How could you enter if it was lo-?!, I-I mean, didn’t your cousin lock the door…? Naptstablook: I went through the wall… Mettaton: A-ah, of course… (inner monologue) I’ve gotten too used to being physical matter… (We see Blooky flipping through the pages of the diaries, looking shocked) Naptstablook: I know I didn't respect their privacy, but… I missed them a lot… I felt the urge to read those diaries… That’s how I found out… my cousin did want a body as well… but they dreamed of one they thought they could never get… Back when we worked together, they usually looked frustrated. Now I know it wasn’t about me, or the farm… it was them. They weren’t happy at all with their ghost form. They didn’t feel like themselves, but they couldn’t do anything about it either… I realized I had been selfish… my cousins only left because they wanted to fulfill their dreams… But they all knew I would feel sad about it… my third cousin probably endured their frustration for so long because of me… I was putting them under pressure without knowing… that’s why I think they don’t want to see me again… They could feel guilty for leaving, and I don’t want them to feel bad for that… (Mettaton still looks down. Naptstablook: It's fine… Their dreams shouldn’t have waited that long… I don’t blame them for not telling me, I might not have been that brave either… And, w-well… (Napstablook gives another shy smile) Napstablook: It was actually because of them that I decided to spend more time on my music… My cousins were finally free to pursue their goals, so I decided to do so as well…! It's not working) Mettaton: A-ah, yes, neither could you- *...sigh*(inner monologue): not my brightest idea… (Mettaton turns around to our group) Mettaton: Umm, Frisk…? I’m SO sorry to bother you sweetie, but since I let you come through the CORE… could you do me the BIG favor of giving us a hand with this? Gerson: I can do ME the big favor of sitting down. I need a rest after all this walk. MK: Maaan, we gonna have to clean this place…? Mettaton: I will… uhh… …give you an autograph! MK: (Grabs the autograph with his mouth and runs to the boxes) I’M ON IT!!! Frisk: …We’ll do it for free Mettaton: Thanks, darling!
(After a while, everyone's cleaning the stage while Gerson sleeps in the corner. Frisk is sweeping the floor when they turn around at MTT) Frisk: So, Mettaton? Mettaton: Yes, darling? I’m all ears! Frisk: I was wondering… you ARE going to tell Napstablook, right? Mettaton: …Tell them what, exactly? Frisk: You know… who you are to them? Mettaton: I’m… afraid I don’t quite follow you, Frisk…! (Frisk gives an awkward silence) Frisk: Dude. I’m talking about telling them you’re their cousi- Mettaton: (!) (Extends his arm to quickly shut their mouth) Frisk: MMFGRHRHH!!! (Mettaton grabs Frisk and Asriel, who happened to be listening, and uses a jet on his back to quickly hide with them behind a container. Napstablook hears something behing them, but when they turn around, MTT is already out of sight.)
(While we view MTT, Asriel and Frisk behind the container, we also get a glimpse of MK and Blooky trying to close a box in the background, realizing none of them have arms. Frisk gets Mettaton's hand off their mouth.) Frisk: *COUGH COUGH COUGH* Mettaton: SHhH!!! Keep it quiet! (Mettaton lets go of them and starts questioning Frisk, visually tense.) Mettaton: H-how did you find out…?! Frisk: Well it's kinda obvious, you know? Like, how you always avoid calling them “Blooky” like you did in your diaries? Mettaton: What the- You’ve read my diaries?! Frisk: H-hey, wasn’t my fault if they were all over your house’s floor! Mettaton: You’ve been in MY HOUSE?! Frisk: W-well I happened to buy the key on this sale in the back alley and- Mettaton: MY KEY WAS ON SALE?!?! Asriel: F-frisk, you’re not fixing it… (Mk tries to close the box by pushing it, but its rusty and won't move) Mettaton: Ugh, forget it! i-it’s… it’s true. Blooky and I are cousins, but… I can’t let them know it’s me… Not yet. Asriel: But why… ? Do you not get along? Mettaton: No! No, It’s not like that at all! it’s just… it’s complicated.
(MK gives the box a big headbutt. They manage to close it, but they trip and end up trapped inside the box. Blooky tries to help them, but they have no arms.) Mettaton: You see, I... *sigh* I distanced myself from them to get my robotic body. I wasn’t brave enough to say goodbye. I thought it would be less painful than trying to explain it to them… but I should have known that wasn’t the right thing to do… (We get a flashback to the battle between MTT and Frisk, when Napstablook called during the show.) Mettaton: After that, we never met as cousins again. The next time I heard their voice, they were talking to "the star of the Underground". I’m just Mettaton for them now. Frisk: But still… don’t you think Blooky has the right to know the truth? Mettaton: I want them to know the truth, but…! (Mettaton covers his face with his arms and slides down the wall to sit down) *sigh* How am I supposed to tell them? They probably felt so lonely all this time… because of my selfishness…!

Then, when you took the six human souls as Flowey… Asriel: I gained even more power than the first time… However, that only gave me control over the timeline. Instead of my original self, the DT of the souls turned me into… that thing… (Asriel remembers when he became Omega Flowey). Asriel: Right now, no matter how many human souls I take, they won’t keep my real form… Frisk: Which means that what made you go back being yourself was… Asriel: Yes… the souls of the monsters…
Asriel: You see the problem, right? We can’t get a monster soul… Not rightfully… Frisk: Yes. We can't just plain take it from somebody else. However, that doesn't mean it’s impossible to get one. Or something similar, at least… Asriel: …But it’s not even possible for us to take an actual monster soul, even from a common monster! The only ones that don’t instantly disintegrate are my family’s. And needless to say, We’re not killing anyone in order to get it. What exactly do you have in mind…? Frisk: Well… you could say it’s a “special” monster soul, since it doesn’t belong to anyone in particular… …And you should know about it. After all… you have it within you right now, don’t you…? Asriel starts getting nervous Asriel: I… I don’t know what you're talking about…
Frisk: Don’t lie, Asriel. There’s a reason you haven’t turned back to Flowey yet, and I know what it is. Please... show it to me. Asriel: (...) *sigh…* (Asriel avoids looking at Frisk, turning his back on them. he slowly raises his arm with his fist closed, whcih is It's emitting a dim light. Asriel opens his palm, and shows Frisk what appears to be a decomposed monster soul, linked to some kind of light strings and sparkles).
(We're back to the present time. Mettaton has joined the group, guiding Frisk and company through the CORE. Frisk and mettaton are having a chat, leading the way. Asriel walks behind Gerson and Monster Kid, still soaked from jumping to the Resort's fountain earlier.) (Gerson looks up with an annoyed face.) Gerson: Ugh, all these artificial lights are hurting my eyes... I swear, kids these days… they could use natural, glowing rocks whenever they wanted, but nooo… Their high tech’s “so much better”… (Gerson turns to look at Asriel, who's giving a grumpy look while water drips from his costume) Gerson: ...Heh, still not dry, boy? You look like a blanket left hanging on a rainy day Asriel: *Sigh* Great, now I’m starting to feel cold… Hey Frisk, is it fine to you if I just get rid of these clothes? (Frisk and mettaton turn around to look at Asriel.) Frisk: Well no one else is coming through the CORE, so you should be fine without disguise. Go ahead. Mettaton: Oh, is it a disguise?

(Also blushes) The large crowd of monsters keep heading to the Hotel, now seen in the distance. Nice Cream guy is struggling to pull his cart up the stairs. Our group of protagonists is also struggling to keep up the walk. Asriel is sweating a lot from his thick fur and the disguise. Gerson: *arf* Dear Angel… *arf* m-my legs… can’t go up these highs… *cough* like they used to… MK: (Excited) WANT ME TO CARRY YOU G-? Gerson: No. Asriel: F-frisk… I have to take this off… The heat… *arf…* isn’t really h-helping… Frisk: Try to hold on... I’m sure it’ll be colder at the hotel…
One by one, the monsters enter the Resot's entrance hall, until it becomes full. The entance to the CORE has been restricted by the Royal Guard and the Hotel staff to prevent people from getting in. Dogamy, Dogaressa, Greater Dog, Lesser Dog and Dogo are working with Hand Receptionist, Charles and Oni. Also Burgerpants, who's nervously holding a mop in defense stance against the crowd. Crowd Monsters: “HOW LONG IS IT GONNA TAKE?!" "I’m tired of this underground heat!" "YEAH, let us have the SUN’S heat!" "CAN WE AT LEAST GET SOME FREE ROOMS FOR THE WAIT?" MTT Resort Janitor: I CAN’T CLEAN THE FLOOR WITH ALL THESE PEOPLE Random guy: Hey I just woke up what’s going on?” Asriel is becoming red and dizzy, on the verge of a heatstroke Asriel: T-too… h… hot… n-need… w-water…
Within the chaos, a familiar voice raises up through a megaphone. Mettaton: ALRIGHT DARLINGS, LISTEN UP! Mettaton, behind the security fences and wearing a security guard cosplay, with a hat, sunglasses and a plastic club, addresses the crowd. Mettaton: We aaall want to get to the surface, but you’ll need to be a little more patient. Please remain calm until the elevator is repaired. Frisk notices Mettaton in the front, giving them an idea. Behind Frisk and Asriel, a familiar mean purple & blonde reindeer girls can be spotted. Frisk: Look, Mettaton’s in charge! (Frisk grabs Asriel's ear to whisper their plan. Asriel is still desperate to get rid of the heat) Frisk: This is our chance! If we ask him to let us go through the CORE- Asriel: WATER!!! Before Frisk can finish their sentence, Asriel notices the broken fountain at the center of the hall. He pulls Frisk aside and jumps straight into the fountain. *SPLASH* Frisk falls after the push, while Gerson and MK stare at Asriel astonished. Asriel: Ahhh… r-refreshing… COLD… water… Asriel lays on the ground, catching the attention of a few people due his strange behaviour. The janitor screams angry at him for getting the floor wet. Frisk: (inner monologue) So much for “not bringing attention”, huh…?
Mettaton keeps trying to keep calm among the crowd. Mettaton: Beauties and gentle beauties, please! I promise the elevator will be working in a couple of minutes! Sad Dragon: We’ve been waiting since BEFORE the barrier was open! That thing won't be ready anytime soon! Catty: Pleeease Mettaton! Can’t we just, like, go through the CORE to get another elevator and stuff? Bratty: Yeah, like, that’d be faster than just staying here forever. All this angry crowd heat is ruining my mascara… Bratty and Catty then whisper to each other in a lower voice. Bratty: Oh and, like, we’re definitely not planning to sneak on your stage and steal any of your stuff… or your hair… Catty: Yeah, like, definitely not his hair… Mettaton: Absolutely NO, darling! The CORE is too dangerous for civilians, and the engineers are still working there to keep the energy source going! Dreemurr himself asked our staff to make sure no one gets past it. It’s for the worker's safety and your own. Inn Keeper: Oh yeah? Then why did 2 members of your band get through earlier? Briefcase Dude: She’s right! We saw them crossing the door and no one stopped them! Ragel the blue mushroom: Regular people can’t go in but if they’re your friends there's an exception, huh?! Mettaton begins to sweat hearing these acusations.

MK: …You’ve been staring at Frisk for a while now bro. Asriel: (!?!?!?) WHA-?! N-NO!! I-I wasn't-! I mean-! W-what are you implying?! Monster Kid starts remembering the times they traveled with Frisk, getting flashbacks of some of these moments. Like them crossing through some tall plants in Waterfall. MK: When we first met, I never really thought about who they were or what were they doing here. Heck, I didn't even realize they were human… We see a flashback of MK and Frisk walking in the rain MK: I really just started to follow them because they were nice to me… and they were fine with it! We see a flashback of MK and Frisk staring at the castle. MK: Whenever I talked, they listened. Whenever I stopped walking, they stopped as well.
Monster Kid has a flashback of when they almost fell down in Waterfall's bridge. Frisk quickly jumped to grab them before they fell. Undyne is seen on the back, also concerned about MK and coming closer to reach them. MK cries out of shock, seeing that Frisk got hurt while trying to pull them up MK: They even risked their life to save mine… even after I tried to hate them, instead of running away like Undyne told me… It’s just that… I still don't get it, you know…? I know I'm a tedious person, and we barely knew each other…
