Uri Misgav posts: Outrage at Otopeni Airport in Bucharest. There are lots of Israelis stuck there waiting for "rescue" (back to Israel, to kids, parents, reserves, jobs etc.) Suddenly a departing Arkia flight pops on the board. But it's not open to the public. I'm told it's meant for the return of IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries; Tldr military industrial shit - Joe) who got stuck during a trip abroad. I refuse to believe this, mainly because I recall that IAI is one of the hardest-core strongholds of Likkud party members there is. And there's no way they got preferential treatment over ordinary Israelis. This must be fake. **Update: fact checked & cross referenced. Indeed a plane solely for IAI pensioners.** The Arkia flight is already en route from Israel. One of the sole planes permitted to fly today in Israeli airspace. I have a suggestion for till takeoff from Bucharest: I will try to find out whom exactly it is intended for, and Arkia will release any available seats on the plane for men & women who didn't have the chance to contend for a seat on it.
