Giant clothespin art sculpture installed by homeowner on the lawn of a home in the Concordia neighborhood of Portland, OR. The owner was trying to replicate an even larger version that was installed for the Festival of the Five Seasons in Chaudfontaine Park, outside of Liege, Belgium by Turkish artist Mehmet Ali Uysal. The original sculpture installed Belgium is designed to look like it’s pinching the lawn between its tongs. The homeowner of the one in Portland attempted the same lawn pinch but could never quite get the grass to grow fully on the much smaller (and importantly thinner) mound of earth that their version was installed on. Photo taken today, March 8th, 2025.
