He couldn’t read it anymore, the knowledge of it torn from him along with his Grace, but the sight of it still stirred something deep inside, in the place where a single spark of sanctity still lived. It was that spark which had allowed him to do so many blessings in Aziraphale’s name—and which now allowed him to cling to proof of Aziraphale’s Divinity without being immolated.

After their long-awaited conversation, the evening had turned joyous, celebratory. Wine had flowed into spirits, filling glasses that were quickly drained until words stopped making sense, and all fear for the future fled. Up was down and down was up, and someone's hand clutching at the other's clothing was the only way to keep feet on the ground. It was beautiful in its simplicity, in the easy chemistry that had taken 6000 years to boil over.

While I'm Still Healing Thavron Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Summary: We enter the comfort part of this hurt/comfort fanfiction. Crowley does what's best for Evelyn, and he and Aziraphale reconnect. His baby grows into a little girl, as children are wont to do. He learns to cook without miracles from the lady on the television, and Zooms into the office when the house is quiet. Crowley takes Evelyn to ballet lessons after school and teaches her French. Some nights, he takes her stargazing up on the downs, and even though he can no longer see the dazzling lights that hang from the heavens, he knows them all by heart. Her eyes light up with wonder as his fingers trace the shapes of the constellations, and soon enough she knows the names herself.
