a struggle i've had with these models is making a shader where coloured light doesn't wash out the textures - it felt overwhelming to even TRY figuring out why, but the fix was embarrassingly simple (literally one well-placed "multiply" node)
now the models keep their rich colours!

i don't think i've publicly shared how the characters' expressions work yet!
it's really simple, actually! each eye has a "tilt IN" and "tilt OUT" value, and a "Squint" and "Wide-Eyed" values that i can mix and match to make their faces more expressive if needed
