Things are likely to remain fluid for a while in #Syria, with #Turkey, having supported the winning factions, emerging as the only regional winner. The #GulfArabs should be happy to see the long arm of Iran cut off, but are equally wary of a democratic Syria- if that is at all possible.

#GulfArabs now have an opportunity to cut the long arm of the #Teheran Mullahs by helping the rebels topple the regime of #Assad, the centrepiece in Iran's regional hegemony. But don't count on it. They are likely to fall back on their long and fractious past, agreeing only do disagree
