Depends on the current needs. You considering moving forward with #Synology or not? If so, it would be recommend to use their #HAT3300 drives due to compatibility (long term that is).

Depending on the model I would suggest sticking to the official compatibility list. #Synology official drives, the #HAT3300 or #HAT3310 might also be worth looking into. Depending on the market they are not that much more expensive.
4x4 or 4x6TB in RAID5 will give you those 10TB of used space.
