The bill to dissolve IPS might not move. Are lawmakers using it as a bargaining chip? Indiana Senate Bill 518 would require public school districts to share more of their property tax revenue.

Look at vouchers, not IPS, for money to share with charter schools | Letters School vouchers cost Indiana taxpayers $439 million last year, mostly going to families who could already afford private school tuition.

Charters claim they need the same resources as public schools, perhaps they should look inwards first:

“the CEOs of charter schools within IPS boundaries – leaving out any who do double-duty as principals — made over $4 million”
