R Findlay in this photo is Roderick Findlay from Broughty Ferry.
Roderick died on the 15th December 1919 at his home at 36 Fort Street, Broughty Ferry, and is buried in Barnhill Cemetery.

No commemoration on the Scottish National War Memorial, nor CWGC.

Renaming of HMS Agincourt to HMS Achilles pre-dates Labour government The Royal Navy apparently sought UK government approval to change the name of HMS Agincourt to HMS Achilles.

Labour wasn't even in power when the name of the new #AstuteClassSubmarine was changed from #HMSAgincourt to #HMSAchilles.

Has anyone asked the Trojans how they feel about a submarine called HMS Achilles?
