This combination – a linen warp and wool weft, is called "linsey-woolsey," which many people have heard of (why, I wonder?), but few have ever seen. This warp is a test project for a newly-restored early New England hand loom, and the colors are a bit wonky and muddy. I think I'll dye this yardage with indigo after it's off the loom.
