My handwriting/printing is atrocious because I hurry to get my thoughts out of my mind onto paper as quickly as I can. I’m not sure I can break that habit.
If I don’t get it out, my thoughts morph.
All things change. I need to be better at capturing what matters.

The urge is upon me to buy a Mont Blanc pen. It's that urge, as with notebooks, which I know I'll give in to eventually. Could be weeks, months, even a year, but I'll give in.
Thing is, the most I ever write nowadays is a shopping list. And that's usually on my phone.

My take on the cursive discourse as a teacher of English for over 30 years is that there is value in #handwriting. There is neuroscience to suggest that handwriting helps reinforce learning in ways that typing doesn’t, and in this era of generative AI, handwriting can authenticate student work.
