Life beyond comfort In October 2022 we did a 2000 miles road trip from California to Utah and back: destination badlands near Hanksville. We stayed overnight at the Moonscape Overlook. At night it was raining, at times quite heavily. Lost in the Martian Desert Over an extended weekend we did a 2000 miles roadtrip from California to Utah and back, destination badlands near Hanksville. After an overnight rainstorm we walked on muddy grounds for one hour to reach the Long Dong Silver, also called The Spire or The Needle. It's an otherworldly rock formation that looks like on another planet in a Star Wars movie.
