#HawickFire Still a bit of active fire on Division "Mike." Forward spread will be stopped shortly per Operations. "Forward Spread Stopped" is one of the important benchmarks for controlling a wildland fire. Mop-up (overhaul) and Containment will follow that.

#HawickFire IC reporting retardant lines are holding and things are looking good. Should have forward progress stopped pretty soon.

#HawickFire Seeing more helicopters assigned (7) working the shoulder (flanks) and head per IC. Updated size at 50 acres. Fire activity is moderating but forward spread is not stopped yet.

#HawickFire Sounds like they are having some with issues with the Rate of Spread. The wind is really pushing this thing. Evacuation orders (Go) and warnings (Set) are in effect.

#HawickFire Just heard a no-divert for aircraft due to a life threat. Workers at the agricultural property out in front of the fire!

#HawickFire They did get a Type-1 tanker assigned in addition to the Type-3s. Tanker 162 is inbound from San Bernardino.

#HawickFire This is what the area looks like. The terrain slopes up steeply behind the housing development. There is a large avocado grove just to the southeast.

#HawickFire I think Calfire Battalion 3314 is Hawick IC. This is in the Lakeside Fire District BUT is also State Responsibility Area (SRA) which is why it gets the concurrent resource response.

#HawickFire Calfire BC just took IC; LKS Div 4104 is Operations. Updated acreage is 5 acres. Sounds like it it pushing SE into the avocado grove and towards Rios Canyon. Potential structure threat in a bit per Air Attack.

#HawickFire Smoke visible on cameras. Initial size-up was a well-established fire at 1 acre in medium fuels with a moderate ROS. No current structure threat. Fire is burning up slope away from houses right now.
