Scented candles? The nearest we got to scented candles was a squirt of me Mum's Tweed onto a Rizla paper pre soaked in Grandad's ear wax, and we were thankful for it! Kept us going through Christmas.

It's the exact same rule for mill and house... if folk stay active and keep moving, there's no need to put t' fire on. #HeatingTheFourYorkshiremen

It were the sight of polar explorers and ice-breaking ships in the kitchen for our family... once we saw Amundsden, Peary and Scott huddled together around the stove, we knew then it twere time to switch on't heating. #HeatingTheFourYorkshiremen

We had to wake at sunrise, traipse 20 miles to Ilkley Moor, capture a dozen dragons, drag the surly beasts back to town, then feed them super strong mints so that their fiery breath would ignite t' furnaces and heat t'house. #HeatingTheFourYorkshiremen

Only when we could see our breath over stove in't kitchen, were we allowed to switch the heating on - and only for a second or two, mind. #HeatingTheFourYorkshiremen
