Taken early June 2022 this is the famous view of The Stourhead Stately Home Garden, that takes in the Palladian Bridge, the blue green Lake and Pantheon Temple amidst the beautiful and lush greenery of the landscape. Created by Sir Henry Hoare II one of the Gentleman Gardeners’ and added to by successive generations until the house and gardens were acquired by the National Trust, which allows visitors to walk the gardens and visit the house. Based just outside of Mere, near Warminster, Wiltshire in the South West of England this is a fabulous place to visit year round to explore the seasons. It has an impressive selection of Rhododendron and various species of trees along with some beautiful buildings all inspired by the Hoare family’s grand tours of Europe, Italy in particular.
