Hex likes collecting little things- rocks, flowers, scraps of cloth, etc from her travels & keeps them in a scrapbook or box (depending on item).
She was shamed for collecting miscellaneous findings from outside her village, so she doesn’t really like to share this interest with others.⤵️

Ever since Hex was kidnapped, she's been fairly touch adverse. It's mix of it being suffocating and her connecting it to her belief of being cursed & not wanting others to take it
She flinches when most people make contact with her, most she's comfortable with is giving a pat on the head⤵️

Not including the close relationships Hex has with major NPCS, Hex learns she & Apyaahi are from neighboring villages, so despite Apyaahi being exiled long before Hex was even born, they regard each other like close sisters as they try to pull other over into their ideologies about freedom⤵️

Fun Fact: In Hex's canon (because I didn't realize Eutrope's outfit was so similar at first lol), Retsarra passes by Hex when she's wearing the 1st outfit, & between the similarities of this outfit, the hairstyle (& the color being somewhat similar), she left a really bad 1st impression.

Yes, Hex would destroy the world for the twins now but she wasn’t that way immediately for them. Ryne, on the otherhand, was a different story, quick to grow attached to her.
Hex & Thancred had different opinions on what this “anything” meant though, triggering their big fight.

Hex is the kind to shove everything into the closet, so everything else looks clean, but instead of her closet, it’s her bag.
So her rooms in the inns tend to be pretty neat (minimal things out) but her bag is a messy hell (which is partially why she never answers her linkpearl).

As the master of getting really quiet when upset at someone, Hex can tell when others are doing it, but will often let them be & wait it out until the other decides to say something (if they don’t want to talk about it, who is she to pry?)

Pre-ARR, Hex had training in her village with knife & stealth skills, similar to Rogue, but not considered as such.
Having no weapons when she ended up in Ul’dah, however, Hex started as a Pugilist & then was a Monk through EW, just a fighter through it all.⤵️

Hex doesn’t want a particular place. Instead, she wants to be cremated with her ashes scattered to the wind to all the places she’s been (& even places she hasn’t) so she can always be traveling.

Originally it was because I couldn’t cast. I didn’t want Hex to be a job I didn’t know how to play (worried I’d get into an rp where it’d be expected).
I kind of learned how to cast (the faster casters at least) & heal (fates & Bozja) but I kept Hex unable to cast,⤵️

Alone with minimal things (pillow, maybe a blanket). Hex finds it suffocating to have too many things in the bed. If she’s sharing a bed, it’s much more comfortable having breathing room.

Minfilia helped Hex get used to the Echo (which despite having since a tot, Hex never had direction). Minfilia kind of also picked up on energy between Hex & Thancred early on & used to tease Thancred specifically in front of Hex because ofc but to also gauge Hex’s reaction to the playboy.⤵️

She will, however, react to other person’s reaction. If they’re being weird about it, she’ll rush to cover up & react based on who/what kind it is (quippy, embarrassed, angry, etc, but it's all in her usual quieter tone)

Food sharing’s very normal in Hex’s village, so she’s used to doing it with those she’s close to (picture her holding her fork to Alphinaud & him politely taking the food off onto his plate because it’s weird/gross to him or her giving her fork to Alisaie who gets flustered over it)⤵️

Hex has different relationships with the twins that can’t quite be compared as liking one more than the other- She’s essentially been with Alphinaud since the start & they’ve been through so much together, so they have a shared bond through those experiences.

After Falcon’s Nest, Hex won’t drink unless she knows who prepared it or watched it being prepared. Her avoiding drink at dinner (date?) was kind of a different circumstance..
Hex already had a fear of fainting ever since she was kidnapped & was pretty cautious after the Banquet. However,⤵️

Hex has kept her hair about chin length for nearly all of her life. It just felt lighter.
It’s not until her braid is chopped off in Ultima Thule that she grows her hair out (about mid length/shoulder length, her new braid being the longest part of her hair)

Hex doesn’t like fighting, but when she does, she’s very aggressive (best defense is a good offense), charging in to pull the enemy to her (& away from others). She’d rather not kill, preferring to just subdue, but there are exceptions where she’s driven to otherwise.

Hex seemingly doesn’t notice if someone’s flirting with her, some weird line between it going over her & her ignoring it.
Flirting only really works if there’s already a special connection between her & the person trying to put the moves on her & if these moves are more straightforward.

Hex is very uncomfortable in full armor & overly covered or structured garb, preferring more open flowy choices
Less clothes meant easier movement in jungle so Hex is unused to otherwise (Ishgard was suffering because Hex both didn’t like the cold but hated the heavily layered attire more)

Hex comes off standoffish to those who don’t really know her, but those who are around her enough see that despite her perceived intimidating exterior, she’ll often willingly lend a hand. Those that really know her see these blend, how despite her friendliness, she’s still usually guarded.

Hex doesn't want kids, her moodiness can get in way, & she's not v responsible (kids taking initiative was how raised in her village, though her family had heavier hand on her)
However she gets along very well with them- telling stories, playing games. She also fiercely looks out for them
