Tomorrow is #InternationalWomensDay and we are celebrating it with a new chapter in the #HistoryOfMicroscopy, this time celebrating the work of the first female American microscopist, Mary Ann Allard Booth (1843–1922).
The writing on the image says "Happy birthday, Arthur Hill Hassall, December 13th 1817", and there is an image from Hill Hassall's historic book "The Microscopic Anatomy of the Human Body in Health and Disease".
Today we highlight another chapter in the #HistoryOfMicroscopy, when we celebrate the birthday of Arthur Hill Hassall, a British physician and microscopist, and one of the first scientists to use #microscopy in medicine. #HistoryOfScience #bacteriology #anatomy #HistoryOfMedicine
