A bust of Doraakur. Doraakur is a hobgoblin with tan skin, golden eyes, curly dark brown hair streaked with white, and a claw mark tattoo over her right eye. Easter egg: Doraakur (Silver Key) is Gool'te's (Golden Son) twin sister. They were raised in the Kaga Baar'ghesh (Three Barghests) ghaal'dar clan. The clan did not support Haruuc. In the aftermath of the Darguul rebellion, Haruuc's clan of the Rhukaan Taash (Razor Crown) attacked the holds of Kaga Baar'ghesh in the caves of the Torlaac Moor. Those who bent the knee were spared, and the remaining clanless hobgoblins disbanded to join other armies. Gool'te sought to prove himself by joining the Kuultuuv Ruus (Bound Cat) clan. Doraakur turned to the nearby Pin Gaalac (Bristle Boars) and sought refuge there. It was here that she met her future wife Tuuskazoar. Years later, the hobgoblin couple would bring the bugbear Druzhii of the Haranhra (Behirs) clan into their relationship. They moved to Grellreach to raise their daughter Mangelwurzel, and instructed her in the Old Ways of the Moors. Easter Egg 2: Doraakur's clan was originally Kaga Vorg'hesh, but as I have expanded the Goblin Lexicon, I have altered barghest to Baar'ghesh (Empty Prowlers) to fit better. Easter Egg 3: Doraakur unintentionally has major Alice Krige vibes, and I love it! Easter Egg 4: Mangelwurzel is the biological child of Doraakur and Tuuskazoar. She inherited Doraakur's hair style and eye color. E
A bust of Tuuskazoar, a hobgoblin with red skin, pink eyes, and purple hair. Tuuskazoar is wearing razor boar armor with bristled pauldrons. The helmet has a rainbow mohawk. Tuuskazoar is covered in splotches of rainbow graffiti paint. Easter egg: Tuuskazoar (Little Tusks) has a wild streak. She was raised in the Pin Galaac (Bristle Boars) ghaal'dar clan. Unlike many ghaal'dar clans who settled in cave systems, the Pin Galaac were mostly nomadic with only a few holdings. Even before the rise of Darguun they used ambush tactics and guerilla strikes to prey upon Cyrans. After the rise of Darguun, they accepted members from disbanded clans into their ranks. Tuuskazaor met the exile Doraakur and the pair fell in love. After their daughter was born, they settled into Grellreach to raise her. The couple fell in love with Druzhii- a traveling game hunter from the northern Haranhra clan, when she would come into town to sell her kills. Easter Egg 2: Tuuskazoar is inspired heavily by Sabine Wren of Star Wars and Bebop of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Easter Egg 3: Mangelwurzel inherited Tuuskazoar's skin tone and rebellious attitude. Easter Egg 4: Tuuskazoar is named after a Giant Boar- the Tuscazoar, from a larp I played many years ago at Camp Tuscazoar who paid homage to the campsite by borrowing its name for a monster. I based the Pin Galaac clan around this and the razor boar monster of previous editions. Tuscazoar comes from the Tuscarawas River which means "open mouth" in Lenape and the Zoar Valley, which means "small" or "insignificant" as a place of refuge- from the Hebrew sa'ar. Due to fun with etymology as I worked on expanding the Goblin Language of Droaam- Sar is also "Small" in Goblin.
A bust of Druzhii. She is a bugbear with light brown fur, brown eyes, and sandy blonde hair. She is wearing armor made from a behir. Easter Egg: Druzhii is the daughter of the chief of the Haranhra (Behirs) clan. Like many in her clan, she is a game hunter. The Haranhra make a living as sellswords like most Ghaal'dar, but they also hunt the fantastical beasts of the Seawall Mountains, Khraal Jungle, and recently- the Mournland. They take trophies from the beasts they kill, and have honed the art of monster hunting- fashioning parts from creatures into weapons, armor, and tools. Druzhii met Doraakur and Tuuskazoar while she was selling the bounty of a felled wyvern nest in Grellreach. The trio quickly hit it off and became a throuple. Druzhii does not live in Grellreach, but will stay with her wives whenever she is in town. Easter Egg: Mangelwurzel learned fearlessness from her mother Druzhii, and that all things have a purpose (and a value) that might not be obvious.
Mangelwurzel has three mothers- Doraakur, Tuuskazoar, and Druzhii. All three belong to Ghaal'dar clans- the Pin Galaac and the Haranhra. (Alt text Easter Eggs/longest lore blurbs yet π₯)
